Features Update: Brooklyn’s Calmer

Recording as Calmer, Collin Palmer produces highly experimental, jazz-driven music that owes as much to Miles Davis as it does to contemporary electronic artists. I’ve written a lengthy feature piece on Calmer for PopMatters that’s published here. In a week or so, I’ll have a post detailing some of the things that Calmer and I talked about that I edited out of the piece for PopMatters. For now, check out my story, and all the other nifty stuff they’ve got going on over there today.
